シンガーソングライター、チェリスト、イラストレーター、衣装デザイナー。

 

3歳からチェロを始め、クラシック音楽とともに育つ。表現する、伝えるということに強い想いがあり、作詞作曲も行う。イラスト創作活動も積極的に行い、ファッション画、イラストジャケットなど自ら描き下ろす。衣装デザイン、イラスト創作、作詞、作曲と多彩な才能を発揮するアーティストとして、その才能に女性をはじめ、広範な層に支持されている。またライブではチェロを弾き、歌唱するというスタイルで独自のライブパフォーマンスで話題性を獲得している。

 

2008年にデビューすると、その世界観から海外で注目を浴びる。アメリカ、ヨーロッパ、アジアなどの海外JAPANカルチャーコンベンションに多数参加する。

2019年の末から2020年末まで約1年イギリスに拠点を移し活動する。　

2020年6月にイギリスで制作したシングル『poolside』をリリース。

2021年からは日本に拠点を戻し、異国での活動を経た感性で更なる音楽と表現を追求する。

​KANON WAKESHIMA

KANON WAKESHIMA started playing the cello at the age of 3. She grew up with classical music.

She has strong emotions to express and convey something, and writes both words and music.

She actively draws and paints her own illustrations including fashion, CD jackets etc.

She is supported as an artist who shows her various talents for a designer, illustrator, writer and composer by a wide range of people.

In her live concerts, she performs the cello and sings. Therefore her performance is topical because of this unique style of hers.

 

She made her debut in 2008, and she has attracted global attention since then due to her view of the world.

She has taken part in JAPAN CULTURE CONVENTION in foreign countries, such as America, Europe, and Asia many times.

She had moved to the U.K. and worked there for 1 year from 2019 to 2020.

In June, 2020, she released her CD, “poolside” created in the U.K.

In 2021, she moved back to Japan again, and she pursues much better musicand expressions with her sensibility she received from other countries.
